Learn to Run Courses
For over 15 years the Learn to Run course has been helping people to achieve their running and fitness goals. There are 3 levels of courses. Take a look and see if there is a course that suits you - you'll soon be a part of the 'healthy and active running community" 
Level 1 - Beginners Running (0-5km)
The 6 week course run 4 times throughout the year (in Mosman, Crows Nest & Balgowlah Heights, NSW) and cater for the pure beginner through to people who have run in the past and are just keen to get back in to it.
The coaches have a genuine desire to help you get started and provide the support, encouragement and advice to ensure you get moving along the right track. You will learn technique, breathing, increasing time/distance, what to wear and lots of other tips. Weekly handouts are provided (via email). Open to both males and females over 16 years.

$95 incl. GST per person for 6 x 1.5 hr classes
Balgowlah Heights Feb 2010 Class
Level 2 - Beginners Plus (4-8km)
The 6 week course runs throughout the year (in Mosman & Balgowlah Heights, NSW) and best suits people who have either:
- completed the Learn to Run (Level 1) Beginners course & can now run 4km non stop and are keen to do more
- who've been running for a while and can run 4+km non stop (on flat - walking up steep hills is still okay) and want to increase your distance and/or speed.
The classes include, continuing to improve on running style/form, introduction to running drills, continuing to work on increasing run distance (less walking) and core strength work.
This training will take your running to the next level. The coaches will provide support, encouragement and help you define and achieve your running goals.
On completion of this course you should be ready to join the Paceline Regular Monday Night Run (should you wish to).

Level 3 - Learn How To Interval Training (Level: Intermediate/ advanced)
The 4 week course runs 3-4 times throughout the year (in Mosman NSW) and caters for runners who want to learn about interval training. Interval training helps improve running strength that leads to increased speed and/or distance. The sessions requires a high level of energy as elements of it will push you right outside your comfort zone!
Attending the first class is critical, some of the time in week 1 is spend in the class-room (class goes for 2 hours). You will need a heart rate monitor (basic model will be fine). Using a heart rate monitor will provide a clear picture of your training intensity.
The sessions include running drills (important to improve running form) and a variety of interval training methods including stair repeats, sand running (if available) and flat repeats PLUS more on core strength work. This type of training will definitely take your running to the next level.
Best suits people who have:
- completed the Learn to Run Level 2 course & can now run 10km in under 70 mins and are keen to learn more
- may have not completed the Level 2 course but are not a beginner eg been running for a while and can run 10+km in under 70 mins and want to improve your running speed, strength and/or distance.
The coach will help improve your technique/style, provide support, encouragement and help you improve your running.
On completion of this course you will be equipped with the knowledge/skills to join the Paceline Wednesday Night Interval Training Session (should you wish to).

$100 incl. GST per person for 4 classes - Week 1 = 2 hours then Weeks 2,3 & 4 = 1.5 hr

Note: Paceliners run in the rain & sunshine. On the rare occasion of lightening or torrential downpour or storm the session will be cancelled.
